Writing a CV can be stressful. Here we show you what to put in and what to avoid; keeping your CV focused in order to impress a potential employer.
Step 1: Know your audience - Only work on it once you know who'll be reading it.
Step 2: Put yourself in the employer's place What would the employer like to know?
Step 3: The first half page - Get across as many selling points as you can in the first half page.
Step 4: The layout - First put in personal details, then put in your profile. A short paragraph where you can really sell yourself and who you are.
Step 5: Areas of expertise -This is where you show them what you do always highlighting key areas.
Step 6: Career history - Keep each job description short. Just mention specific achievements you had during that job.
