    Job Title – Insurance Telesales Manager

    Contract – Permanent 

    Salary – £40k – £45k + benefits

    Location – Manchester

    Industry – Insurance (Insurance, Underwriting, Telesales)

     

     

    Our client, a Global Insurance company are currently recruiting for a Telesales Manager to manage a team of 10 Telesales staff.

     

    Duties and Accountabilities

    • To play a key role in  ensuring success for the newly formed telesales team of 10

     

    • To manage all activity including new business, renewals, MTA’s and service enquiries within SLA’s

     

    • Prioritise all the various work flow queues to deliver strong results and meet the targets/SLAs

     

    • To work within underwriting authority to ensure all opportunities are maximised

     

    • To manage the telephony system to ensure efficiency is being driven throughout the telesales team

     

    • To produce forecasts on a monthly basis, measure and report against these back to senior management and feed into the overall Direct & Partnerships team strategy

     

    • To proactively suggest product and process development / improvements

     

    • To  provide  daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly MI on sales performance and engage with senior management to present progress

     

    • To engage with affinity partners to provide monthly MI

     

    • Lead and manage the telesales team, to include;

     

    • Recruitment, induction and training for new joiners

     

    • Performance management of all employees including regular 1-2-1 reviews, annual appraisals and underperformance processes where a need is identified Coaching and support for team members to enhance sales performance (sales and renewal retention)

     

    • Motivating and pro-actively driving performance on a daily basis, monitoring performance against SLAs

     

    Skills, knowledge and experience

    The ideal candidate will:

     

    • Be sales focussed and income driven

     

    • Have experience of all aspects of line management and the ability to lead a team

     

    • Have strong, proven experience of delivering successful results through a telesales function

     

    • Understand the importance technology plays in creating a successful efficiency model

     

    • Be able demonstrate success of delivering consistently strong numbers through proactive management

     

    • Need to be passionate about your desire to succeed

     

    • Be experienced in producing timely and accurate reporting and presenting back to senior stakeholders

     

    • Have  understanding of accurate forecasting

     

    • Have  experience of the Insurance / Financial Service industry
