    About the role

    The insurance industry relies on a rich set of tools for predictive analytics and risk management. Actuaries build models that process vast amounts of data. There is an urgent need for software that can run these models fast enough so that they can be effectively used in real-time decision making.

    A game-changing platform that has been built from the ground up with usability and performance in mind allows users to express their calculations in a very natural way, and calculations that used to run overnight with other software can now be run in minutes.

    • Core business logic in C#
    • GUI development in WPF
    • High-performance native code in C++
    • Virtualisation and cloud deployment

    Essential skills:

    • C# experience
    • A solid understanding of computer hardware, and how to write performant code.
    • Passionate about technology, and writing well-designed, well-tested code
    • Personable with the ability to build great relationships and collaborate with colleagues and clients
    • Able to communicate and explain complex ideas to others
