    Job Title: Application Support / Technical Assistant

    Location : Hertfordshire

    Job Title : Permanent, full-time

    Salary : up to £35K

     

    Our client are an expanding and innovative software company who design and build both enterprise and SaaS solutions for mid to large tier retailers. Their products include retail applications that span stores, mobile and Web, a development toolkit, resource libraries and a technology platform.  They have customers in the UK, Europe and the U.S. and they are considered as a leader in their sector.

     

    The Role

     

    Primarily to Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools in order to aid the Sales Team in their Sales engagements. Ensuring demo systems are working and up to date This will also involve getting our solutions working on outdated client hardware. So a keen interest in hardware and making things work is key.

    Ultimately the aim is to become, with mentoring, an expert “Application Specialist ” with presales experience, who could then happily assist in not only the pre sales engagements but also to go on to consult with and train our Partners and Customers

     

     

    What we are looking for

     

    • Relevant technical degree and able to demonstrate technical competency
    • Happy to learn and become an expert in our solutions
    • Consultative nature / happy to collaborate with partners and customers 
    • Analytical brain as the role will involve working with Business analysts
    • Business Driven – an understanding of the Retail industry is a bonus
    • Trouble shooting/ problem solving is a key part of the role
    • A good team player
    • Able to follow instructions and work independently
    • Happy to pass on learning in the form of training for both partners and Customers
