    Job Title – Assistant Financial Controller

    Contract – Permanent

    Salary – £38,000 – £42,000

    Location – Remote, ideally London based

     

    Four-Star Leading and growing Hospitality Group have a brand-new opening for an Assistant Financial Controller to support the Regional Finance Director.  This role is a key part of the new Finance Performance and Management Team, which is part of the new Regional Head Office.

     

     As Assistant Financial Controller, you will support Head Office, to ensure accurate and timely business information is available to the Hotel Financial Controllers and corporate office.  

     

    Key Responsibilities

     

    • Preparation of all monthly management accounts, journal postings, accruals, prepayments, and monthly reports for the UK & Europe in conjunction with the Performance Management & Reporting team
    • Approval & Submission of SAP files
    • Responsible for uploading financial information into SUN, SAP, and Board, ensuring consistency across all systems
    • Approval & Finalisation of monthly Balance Sheet and Intercompany reconciliations, investigating and correcting any variances
    • Provides details and understanding to hotel and corporate teams as and when required
    • Finalise VAT submissions and submit to HMRC in a timely manner
    • Intercompany reconciliations and management accounts
    • Manage intercompany loans and movements
    • Supports the development and implementation of group-wide finance system & process change projects
    • Achievement of agreed KPI targets
    • Responsible for driving compliance of all Accounting and Financial Controls  
    • Ensuring the accuracy of hotel ledgers and compliance with the accounting practices and procedures as required by corporate policies and procedures, and generally accepted accounting practices
    • Actively manages performance within the Performance & Management Reporting team to enable learning and growth
    • Have a full knowledge of the companies’ procedures and policies and to adhere to them

     

    The ideal candidate will be at Assistant Financial Controller level with key experience gained from the Hospitality industry.  Knowledge of SAP and SUN is highly desirable, alongside advanced levels in excel. You will ideally be at least Part-Qualified and studying towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA / CIMA).
