    Job Title – Underwriting Support Analyst

    Contract – Permanent

    Salary – £34,000

    Location – London (Hybrid) 2 days per week office based

     


    Purpose of the role

     

    As an Underwriting Support analyst you will provide support to the underwriting teams, carrying out administrative tasks and liaising with other teams to ensure underwriters can focus on developing their portfolios. This is an excellent entry level position where all training will be provided on the job. A genuine interest to pursue a career within the insurance sector would be advantageous.


    Duties and accountabilities

     

    • Development of underwriting and technical knowledge to support the role.
    • Resolution of outsource provider queries in relation to messaging, Intrali, workflow and Lloyds Brussels.
    • Provide administrative support to underwriters including the management of daily workflow, in particular queries and ad-hoc questions via the operations inbox, BAU, Document Management System, AEGILITY and OpenBox administration.
    • Assist with quality control checks for Intrali VIPR, endorsement entry and risk capture where required.
    • Provide system training once established.
    • Create and maintain system training materials for internal HUB.
    • Assist with month and year end closing.
    • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with outsource provider CAPITA.
    • UAT testing as required.

     


    Skills, knowledge and experience

     

    The successful candidate will:

    • Be computer literate and have the ability to develop a full understanding and capability of in-house and MS systems including a good working knowledge of MS Office packages.
    • Be educated to GCSE/A-level standard or equivalent with strong numerical and analytical ability.
    • Be prepared to study (fully funded) towards Chartered Insurance qualifications.
    • Have excellent organisations and administrative skills with attention to detail and the ability to look at the wider picture with problem solving.
    • Demonstrate excellent communication, social and organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
