    Job Title – Operations Analyst

    Contract – Permanent

    Salary – £44,000

    Location – London (Hybrid) 2 days per week office based

     


    Purpose of the role

     

    We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Analyst who will be responsible for supporting the Operations Change Manager, Head of Underwriting Operations and the wider Operations team with all matters relating to Operations Change and BAU.

    The majority of time will be spent researching systems, processes and data to generate insights using various analytical techniques to drive successful change. You will work on various internal and external (Lloyd’s) projects to reduce spend, improve cost, improve quality or speed of service and/or improve operational control. 

    The role will involve wide-ranging exposure to the business and working closely with individual teams to understand, capture, prioritise and document business and technical requirements leading to the deployment of automated, optimised and highly effective solutions.


    Duties and accountabilities

     

    • Develop a good working knowledge of the business goal, priorities and processes for the relevant business areas.
    • Drive discussions with relevant teams and departments to understand current state, inputs and outputs.
    • Facilitating workshops to collect information, share data / fact driven insight and develop models.
    • Collecting, collating, manipulating and reconciling data from numerous sources to ensure its completeness and accuracy.
    • Aid in the documentation and analysis of ‘as-is’ process mapping, making recommendations for improvement.
    • Contribute to the design, validation and documentation of efficient to-be processes that align to target operating model.
    • Conduct analysis work to a consistent high standard with range of business areas; produce output to agreed timescales, formats and standards.

     


    Skills, knowledge and experience

     

    The successful candidate will have:

    • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships and trust at all levels internally and externally.
    • Highly organised with ability to understand and adjust to moving priorities.
    • Logical approach to analysing/understanding data and identifying problems and solutions.
    • Self-motivated and proactive – is able to anticipate issues and rectify these on behalf of their manager / team.
    • Ability to design and run workshops to maximise output.
    • Comfortable working in a team or individually.
    • Industry experience would be advantageous but not necessary.
