Job Title – Commercial Underwriter

Contract – Permanent

Salary – £40,000 – £50,000

Location – York – Flexible working is available

Industry – Insurance (Insurance, Underwriting, Commercial)

A highly regarded name in the market is seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to join their specialist commercial team. You will be responsible for underwriting various commercial products whilst ensuring profitability.

This is an exciting role for someone with a commercial background who is looking to join a fast paced, highly engaged team.

Responsibilities include:

• Underwriting various commercial and specialist lines
• Dealing with existing business cases up to c£10k GWP
• Work closely with brokers and third parties to ensure profitability
• Working towards monthly conversion targets
• Understanding clients needs on large, complex accounts

Requirements:

• Commercial underwriting experience is essential
• Have a good understanding of the commercial market
• Excellent management skills
• Excellent organisation skills
• Excellent relationship management
• Excellent communication skills
