    Job Title – Sales Development Manager

    Contract – Permanent

    Salary -£65,000

    Location – West Midlands

     


    Purpose

     

    • Champion, influence, facilitate and drive the delivery of sustainable profitable sales growth across the range of our clients products and services by acting as the single point of contact for all branches in their area. Providing effective performance management, support and development of aligned branches, co-ordinating other specialist support resources as appropriate and manage the local relationships.

     


    Accountabilities

     

    • Maintain, enhance and build relationships with aligned branches, developing and deploying account management plans, mobilising actions for delivery and providing guidance where performance is not aligned in order to drive successful business outcomes. Manage and motivate the appropriate support resources, co-ordinating their activity and monitoring their impact.

     

    • Oversee and influence the development and delivery of strategically aligned 1 and 3 year Business Plans and individual branch annual sales activity plans and activities in order to deliver desired GI, and life products.

     

    • In line with their Business Plan and growth strategies, support aligned branches in identifying risks and evolving their business models, structure and capabilities to ensure long-term profitability, sustainability and resilience. Share best practice regarding processes, tools and investment activities to improve the quality and profitability of branches.

     

    • Champion, facilitate, report on and monitor sales performance to ensure the effective management of the sales pipeline and delivery of sales targets. Take appropriate corrective action as required to address any shortfall in sales & behavioural performance.
    • Take responsibility to manage own personal development to ensure product,    process and market knowledge is always accurate and up to date.

     

    • Deliver short term / one-off projects and activities as required by and to the  standards and outcomes agreed with Line Manager.

     

    • Lead, manage, motivate and develop direct reports and wider department team so that they know what is expected, are able to maximise their contribution to business objectives and realise their potential.
