    Job Title: Broker Development Team Leader
    Location: Essex
    Package: GBP30,000 – GBP40,000 + Package
    Type: Permanent

    Due to expansion our client a reputable Insurance Brokerage based in Essex is currently recruiting for Broker Development Team Leader.

    Job Purpose:
    To assist in development of brokers via telemarketing – to generate leads; increase awareness of product range; build a database of broker insight; chase and convert quotes and identify potential / opportunities for our client.

    As a Team Leader, you will undertake this role whilst leading and developing a team of three Broker Development Executives.

    This is a targeted sales role.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Lead Generation: developing leads from existing brokers over the phone
    Broker Insight: build a database of insight into our existing brokers
    Development: identifying broker potential and reactivating dormant accounts
    Other Tasks: identifying cross-sell opportunities, following up on marketing campaigns, initiatives and insurance events

    Team Leader Responsibilities (in addition to above):
    Lead and develop BDEs – drive culture of proactive sales and engagement
    Support Head of Sales with key brokers relationships and progression of deals

    – Target number of meaningful conversations per day
    – Target number of activations of dormant brokers per month/quarter
    – Target conversion of quote chases and generation of leads

    Qualifications Required Minimum 5 GCSE, A to C including English and Maths

    Experience Required Proven sales/development experience, Commercial insurance experience

    Skills Confident, professional and friendly phone manner, Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
    Attitude Driven, Desire to exceed targets, Resilience, Self-motivated, Responsible/trustworthy
