Job Title: Marketing Executive
Location: Preston
Package: GBP27,000
Type: 12 Month FTC (To cover Maternity) Full Time

Job Purpose:
To assist with the development, management and delivery of integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns across all new and existing products and initiatives, ensuring key objectives and targets are achieved on time and within budget. Be the companys day to day marketing contact for all internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilties:
– Assist in the management of all on-going multi-channel campaigns and tactical marketing activity including email, PPC, SEO, direct mail, advertising and social
– Work closely with digital development agency to deliver PPC and SEO campaigns
– Updating and populating the compamys website CMS (built on WordPress)
– Populating email templates and issuing e-comms
– Follow the agreed compliance sign-off process for all materials ensuring regulatory standards are met
– Content creation and posting on social media and feedback platforms – Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, TrustPilot and others
– Maintaining the customer database including segmentation and contact strategy
– Provide day-to-day Marketing point of contact for all internal and external Key Stakeholders
– Ensure all marketing activity is measurable and ultimately cost-effective – making rapid recommendations for change where applicable backed by empirical evidence
– Maintain and input into the marketing calendar which integrates with overall consumer marketing activity
– Regular monitoring and reporting of competitor activity and wider market presence
– Liaise with internal management teams to drive optimisation of campaign selections, segmentation, targeting, ROI and reporting
– Act as brand guardian for all of the companys products, developing the proposition both internally and externally and ensuring all communications are consistent with the key values
– Proactively grow knowledge and marketing best practice (on and offline) and make recommendations on new activity
– Assigning and routing tracked telephone numbers for different marketing activity and running reports
– Other projects and duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager


– A marketing degree or equivalent

– A minimum of 2 years experience in a marketing role


– A minimum of 2 years experience in a marketing role

– Experience of working in the Financial Services Sector


– Good commercial awareness and negotiation skills
– Strong creative, communication and presentation skills
– Intermediate MS Office · Market awareness/Competition
– Knowledge of Googles analytics & AdWords Packages
– CMS (content management system) · Email service provider (ESP) · Social media savvy across all social media networks

– Knowledge of Compliance & Financial Promotions regulations
– Basic insurance knowledge
– Comprehensive knowledge of Googles algorithm history and current policies
– Use of SEO tools such as SEOmoz, Advanced Web Ranking/Majestic
– Understanding of HTML coding and its effects on SEO

– Effective written and verbal communication Numeracy
– Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining close attention to detail
– Excellent planning, organisation and time management
– A creative and innovative approach and able to proactively contribute ideas
– Communication at all levels
– Strong problem-solving skills

– An appetite and enthusiasm to learn
– Strong organisation skills
– Strong work ethic and a proactive approach
– Able to on a number of tasks simultaneously in a busy team or independently
