    Job title: Casualty Claims Handler

    Salary: £32,000

    Location: Glasgow


    PURPOSE OF ROLE

    We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for a Casualty Claims Handler to join their Glasgow-based team. The role involves assessing and managing public and employer liability claims within authority limits, ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.


    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Assess and manage casualty claims accurately
    • Determine policy liability, calculate reserves, and settle claims within set authority
    • Maintain strong client relationships and meet SLA commitments
    • Prioritise and manage caseload efficiently
    • Handle customer complaints effectively
    • Stay updated on company policies and regulatory requirements
    • Support operational projects as needed 

    DAY-TO-DAY

    • Review and process incoming public and employer liability claims
    • Liaise with clients and customers to clarify claim details and next steps
    • Maintain records and documentation in accordance with internal procedures
    • Handle customer communications and enquiries with a high standard of service
    • Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory frameworks

    EXPERIENCE 

    • Experience in a claims handling role is essential
    • Casualty/injury claims experience preferred
    • CII qualification desirable, not essential
    • Strong customer service and communication skills

    SKILLS 

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
    • Sound knowledge of casualty claims processes
    • Strong organisational and time management skills
    • Understanding of compliance and regulatory standards
