Job title: Risk Manager
Salary: £75,000
Location: Glasgow
OVERVIEW
An excellent opportunity is available with our client and we are here to connect them with a dedicated and experienced Risk Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing competent advice in line with client’s contract requirements and legislative requirements, developing new business, maintaining current clients, and ensuring compliance with quality management systems and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver effective management systems to enhance clients’ compliance with safety and quality laws and regulations.
- Generate new business opportunities by leveraging existing client relationships, new introductions, and personal networks.
- Actively promote cross-selling opportunities within the company and advocate for the team both internally and externally.
- Ensure high levels of client retention while adhering to the companies Quality Management systems.
- Provide updates on key developments within the Risk Management Team to the Managing Director.
- Support the development and execution of consultancy projects related to risk management.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and value delivery for clients.
- Champion and embody their core culture and values.
SKILLS
- Confident and effective telephone and PC skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop and sustain relationships with clients and colleagues
- Compliance with quality management system requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- NEBOSH General Certificate Minimum
- Membership of IOSH, IIRSM, or other industry-related membership
- GRAD IOSH Minimum
- Minimum 5 years prior experience in a similar role
- Full Driving License
DAY-TO-DAY
- Provide competent advice to clients in line with legislative and industry best practice
- Maintain personal development plans and continual professional development
- Keep abreast of risk management developments and legislative changes
- Deliver training and coaching to staff as required
- Keep updated with legislative and industry-specific changes
- Ensure no upheld complaints, liability claims, or enforcement authority actions
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in a comparable role.
- Strong commitment to supporting others in achieving their optimal performance.
- Eagerness to collaborate in developing detailed and effective solutions.
