    Job title: Compliance Business Partner

    Salary: £90,000

    Location: London


    PURPOSE OF ROLE
    Our client, a respected company in the financial services sector, is looking for a Senior Compliance Support Specialist to join their team. This role works directly with the Senior Compliance Manager to ensure the business stays fully compliant with regulatory standards while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and integrity.


    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide expert compliance support to the Senior Compliance Manager
    • Guide employees and leadership on compliance policies and regulatory requirements
    • Help develop and maintain compliance procedures that protect the business and enhance customer outcomes
    • Monitor KPIs and keep track of new regulatory developments to keep the company ahead
    • Act as a trusted compliance advisor, encouraging positive behaviours across the organisation

    DAY-TO-DAY

    • Collaborate with various teams to ensure adherence to FCA regulations, including ICOBS and SMCR
    • Regularly review compliance frameworks and recommend improvements
    • Deliver compliance training and support to employees
    • Stay informed on regulatory changes and assist with implementing updates
    • Prepare compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders
    • Support incident management and escalate issues as needed

    EXPERIENCE

    • Experience in a compliance role within insurance or financial services is essential
    • Strong understanding of FCA regulations, particularly ICOBS and SMCR
    • Familiarity with insurance brokerage compliance is beneficial
    • Relevant industry qualifications such as CII or ICA are preferred
    • Solid grasp of the London Market, particularly Lloyd’s and the reinsurance space

    SKILLS

    • Excellent attention to detail and risk awareness
    • Clear, confident communication skills
    • Strong analytical ability to interpret data and identify trends
    • Organised with the ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively
    • Sound judgement on when to escalate matters
    • Adaptable to shifting regulatory landscapes and business needs
    • High integrity and commitment to compliance excellence
