Job Title: Commercial Account Executive
Location: Nottinghamshire
Salary: Circa £60k
Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Account Executive to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing clients, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring compliance with FCA regulations. This role requires a professional with a proven track record in commercial insurance sales, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
As a Commercial Account Executive, your key responsibilities will include:
– Managing a portfolio of existing clients and developing new business opportunities.
– Meeting and exceeding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as new business, renewals, cross-selling, retention ratios, and profitability.
– Conducting client meetings to identify needs and provide tailored insurance solutions.
– Negotiating with insurers to secure the most appropriate coverage for clients.
– Presenting recommendations and insurance options to clients and closing sales.
– Ensuring compliance with FCA regulations and company policies.
– Handling complaints in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
– Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, insurers, and underwriters.
– Conducting regular training and professional development to stay updated on industry standards and regulations.
– Maintaining accurate and compliant records of all client interactions and transactions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
Essential:
– Extensive knowledge of commercial insurance products.
– Proven experience in an Account Executive or Senior Account Handler role within a broking environment.
– Demonstrated ability to build strong and sustainable client relationships.
– Proven track record in sales and achieving growth in commercial insurance.
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
– Strong organisational and self-management abilities.
– Cert CII qualified or working towards Dip CII.
– Full driving licence and access to a car for business use.
Desirable:
– Diploma in Insurance.
– Experience in delegating work to or supervising an Account Handler.
Day-to-Day
– Proactively manage client accounts, ensuring their needs are met with tailored insurance solutions.
– Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and referrals.
– Conduct client meetings, assess insurance requirements, and present suitable coverage options.
– Collaborate with insurers and underwriters to negotiate competitive terms.
– Ensure all activities comply with FCA regulations and company policies.
– Provide exceptional customer service and maintain accurate records of all interactions.
– Participate in training and development programs to enhance professional skills.
