Commercial Underwriter – Schemes

Job Title – Commercial Underwriter – Schemes
Contract – Permanent
Salary – GBP35,000 – GBP45,000
Location – Manchester
Industry – Insurance (underwriting, insurance, commercial) 

Key Responsibilities:

Underwriting various new and existing cases on specialist or DA schemes
Develop and enhance external broker relationships
Deliver profitable growth across your panel
Create new broker relationships within the region
Deliver great client service in line with the companies values
Handle scheme referrals as well as underwriting the larger new and existing business cases

Key Skills:

At least 3 years commercial underwriting experience ideally handling large and complex risks including schemes
Confident selling and trading
Good relationship building experience
High attention to detail
Target driven and forward thinking

The successful candidate will also be expected to actively identify cross sell opportunities to continue to build the Manchester branch. The candidate will become an integral part of the team, servicing an allocated panel of brokers and maximising conversion rates and profitability within the companys product guidelines.
