    Job Title: Telephone Insurance Broker Account Manager
    Location: Bolton
    Package: GBP25,000
    Job Type: Permanent

    client is currently looking to expand their Account Manager function. These are exciting times for the companys Commercial team as they grow their appetite around their small commercial broker proposition.

    You will manage a panel of 90-120 brokers through proactive telephone-based contact and supporting the Sales Manager. Your key objective will be to profitably grow the companys account through development and strong relationship management, both internal and external. As first point of contact for your brokers, you will be an advocate of the companys broker proposition and be targeted to help develop your customers business.

    Job Responsibilities:

    – Manage the Commercial Intermediary element of the broker relationship both externally and with the Internal company functions for allocated Panel to deliver all financial KPIs
    – Support the delivery of the overall branch plan
    – Preparing annual Key Account Plans and ensuring delivery against this plan
    – Managing the relationship in accordance with company governance procedures ensuring that our service delivery complies with regulatory requirements
    – Responsibility for a panel of brokers, pro- actively managing the relationship and developing business opportunities to actively grow GWP and Profitability
    – Conduct site visits as appropriate to build effective trading relationships with brokers
    – Act as liaison between Brokers and underwriters to provide effective service to brokers
    – Ensuring that our service delivery complies with regulatory requirements
    – Understanding and helping to prepare, design, implement and review a brokers strategic development plans
    – Reviewing progress of initiatives against plan and taking remedial action as appropriate
    – Understanding the nature of the panel brokers business, the marketplace and the extent and potential of the relationship
    – Identify New Business opportunities within existing panel. Maximise the use of development tools available to secure profitable growth
    – Ensuring realisation of profitable relationship including an appropriate remuneration package and credit control standards
    – Proactively seeking broker feedback on company performance and delivery by liaising with commercial lines intermediary branches and at management level
    – Ensuring an effective infrastructure and establish best practice across all product lines for service delivery

    Skills & Qualifications:

    – A successful sales background with proven negotiation and influencing skills
    – High levels of self-motivation and personal drive with effective time management
    – A good understanding of understanding of general insurance products, in particular commercial lines business
    – A good understanding of Commercial Broker markets – preferred
    – Understanding profitability of business within the intermediary channel
    – Understanding of FSA and Compliance requirements
    – Experience of business planning
    – ACII qualification or equivalent – preferred
    – Educated preferably to A level standard or equivalent
