    Job Title – Claims Team Leader- Technical and Strategic

    Contract – Permanent
    Location – Chelmsford, Essex

    Salary – Circa £40,000

     


    Overview of Role / Role Purpose

     

    Theroleis to ensure the successful local strategic and technical output of a team of Claims Managers and assisting the Head of Claims and Account Management to ensure service targets, market performance and audit results are achieved by smooth and effective running of the department.

     

    Servicetargets, key performance indicators, performance management, 360 degree feedback and development of staff are all key objectives.

     


    Core Responsibilities

     

    • Responsible for building, developing and maintaining claims relationships with Insurer markets, across all classes at the required level
    • Responsible for quality, referrals, payment authorisation and technical and strategic support for the claims team
    • Ensure successful completion of Insurer, Internal Compliance or any other audit carried out on the claims team, including preparation, engagement with auditors, output meetings and ensuring recommendations are implemented successfully
    • Work collaboratively with the Head of Claims and Account Management and other Team Leaders
    • Develop, update, roll out and train claims best practice and claims philosophies across the claims team
    • Assist with claims analysis and be a point of specialism for claims reports narrative and analysis
    • Manage a small client allocation of claims, cross class
    • Actively take part in internal and external meetings with clients, Insurers and tender presentations
    • Engage with Regional, Divisional and National Claims Executives when required
    • Ensure market leading claims service provided to all clients

     


    Key Skills and Experience

     

    • Experience of managing small teams
    • Experience of administration, including process development and change management
    • Understandingof Insurance business and operations
    • Pro- active attitude to challenging work
    • Excellent customer service skills

     


    Education / Qualifications

     

    • Minimum 5 years experience of claims, administration or operational senior role
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Understandingof Insurance business and operations
    • Pro- active attitude to challenging work
    • CIIQualifications or desire to complete
