    Job Title: Head of Investor Relations and Business Development

    Location : Bermuda

    Job Title : Permanent, full-time

    Salary : $280,000.00

     


    Purpose of the Job

     

    The Head of investor relations and business development will play a pivotal role in developing the platform, shaping investor communications/relations and leading marketing efforts alongside the Managing Director.

     

    An international specialty insurance and reinsurance player with significant autonomy. Management continues to drive the business forward with pace to develop the business model and produce outstanding results for our stakeholders. Focused on a number of major recently launched initiatives and continue to optimise the organisations core business in a fast-evolving environment.

     

    Working alongside the Managing Director, the role will also be responsible for business development and managing the strategy process and implementation of key strategic initiatives as required.

     


    Principal Accountabilities

     

    The principal accountabilities are set out below, but the role holder will be expected to participate in other areas as and when required:

     

    • Ensure capital is raised in line with business plans, that investor relations are well managed and that the capital raising process operates smoothly
    • Plan and manage capital raising process
    • Manage/co-ordinate the structuring and legal processes as required
    • Oversee the delivery of analysis and operational support for the marketing, reporting and ongoing management of the vehicles
    • Lead the production of high-quality reporting and marketing materials
    • Work with management to maintain strong relationships with investors and related vehicles
    • Act as the key point of contact for investors, proactively engaging with them to ensure they receive timely and accurate information.
    • Develop the organisations approach to investor engagement, reporting and marketing to new investors to expand the investor group and ensure sufficient funds are available to support the business opportunity.
    • Identify new potential investors and assist with evaluation and on-boarding process
    • Work with external advisers on fundraising exercises as required.
    • Work with the Managing Director to define plans on an annual basis
    • Develop and maintain strategic analysis and clear board strategies working with teams
    • Ensure internal stakeholders are always brought into the strategy and well informed
    • Evaluate potential strategies to establish the commercial value, risks and implementation considerations
    • Perform deep dives into markets or segments to evaluate performance and/or the potential as new opportunities.
    • Support the Managing Director as required in preparing for external meetings and presentations.
    • To lead ad hoc projects and research assignments as directed by the Managing Director.
    • Maintain a watching brief on developments by key competitors.
    • Identification and analysis of strategic opportunities to enhance the business
    • Develop new fund propositions for investors

    Education, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

     

    • Leadership skills, with strong influencing capability and ability to lead and motivate others.
    • Proven track record of operating at a senior level across an organisation and achieving buy-in.
    • Track record of success within the capital markets and/or insurance sector across international and local markets.
    • Outstanding analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Highly motivated, driven and commercial individual.
    • Experience of PRA (and preferably overseas) regulations. Strong understanding of the requirements of Solvency II and the Internal Model desirable.
    • Appropriate professional qualifications related to insurance, investment and/or finance.
