Job Title – SME Commercial Underwriter

Contract – Permanent 

Salary – £25,000 – £35,000 + competitive package offering

Location – York or Bristol

Industry – Insurance (Insurance, Underwriting, Commercial)

A highly regarded name in the market are seeking Commercial Underwriters to become part of their nationwide SME underwriting team.

This role will be responsible for underwriting various commercial cases both on a new and existing business basis whilst ensuring you develop and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with a team of underwriters to ensure profitable growth in the region
• Underwriter various commercial lines including property, casualty, combined, fleet and trade
• Generate pipeline with your panel of brokers
• Underwrite more complex cases based on experience and knowledge
• Act as a referral point within the team (depending on UW level)
• Grow and develop lasting relationships with brokers and third parties within the region

Requirements:

• Experienced Commercial Underwriter
• Good understanding of the commercial insurance market
• Excellent communication skills
