    Job Title – Commercial Insurance Account Broker  

    Contract – Permanent

    Salary – £32,000

    Location – Liverpool, Merseyside   

    Industry – Insurance Broker – Commercial Insurance

     


    Purpose:

    To provide insurance solutions to our customers in a timely and effective manner. You will be responsible for achieving new business goals and sales and retention of current business, across a range of consumer insurance products.

    Working on a blend of perspective and existing customers, you will deliver great customer experiences and be used to delivering consistently strong performance against target.


    Key Accountabilities:

    • To provide insurance quotations in a customer focused and compliant manner ensuring that quotations are provided in agreed formats within agreed service standards and timelines.
    • To manage all mid-term adjustments in an effective manner and deal with any issues and or complaints in accordance with compliance guidelines.
    • Ensure that all communication and calls are answered to agreed service levels, within TCF parameters and to quality standards
    • Utilise communication and negotiation techniques and skills to clearly explain the features and benefits of our products, ensuring that every customer receives a full complement of sales and upselling opportunities.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer contact
    • To acquire, maintain and record an accurate level of appropriate product and regulatory knowledge and skill as is appropriate for the role.
    • To ensure that all statutory and company regulations are followed to protect clients, colleagues and the business interests of the company.
    • Adhere to the contents of the Broking Procedures Manual at all times
    • Monitor attainment of targets as outlined on performance appraisal and during 121 sessions with manager
    • Carry out any additional duties as agreed with your Line Manager

    Qualifications / Experience:

    • Minimum 5 GCSE, Grades A-C including English and Maths, degree level preferred.
    • Computer Literate
    • Minimum 3-5 years experience working in a similar role
    • Minimum Foundation CII qualification, working towards Certification.
    • Working knowledge of Acturis platform preferable

    Knowledge:

    • Experience of working within a Regulated FCA environment desirable, in line with core competency levels

    • Have an ability to multi-task, in particular be able to switch between a range of contact channels such as inbound, outbound calls, emails etc.
