    Job title: Commercial Account Manager

    Employee status: Permanent, full time

    Location: Croydon, Surrey

    Salary: Circa £40,000

     


    The Role:

    • An exciting opportunity has arisen in Croydon to provide insurance solutions to clients in a timely and effective manner. You will be responsible for achieving new business goals and sales and retention of current business, across a range of commercial insurance products.
    • Working on a blend of perspective and existing clients, you will deliver great customer experiences and be used to delivering consistently strong performance against target.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provision of professional advice and service to client
    • Provision of quotations as directed
    • Renewal Procedures to be followed per work Instructions provided
    • Accounts procedures and queries to be complied with
    • Post processing within the company timescales and to company standards
    • Computer records, creation and maintenance
    • Preparation and issue of Risk Registers / Pre-renewal Agendas / Submission / Renewal Reports for issue to Clients / Insurers
    • Documentation checking prior to account Executive signing off prior to subsequent issue
    • File maintenance
    • Contribution to overall efficient running of business division
    • Open communication and liaison with all other departments within the company
    • Securing payment from clients within timescales
    • Diary – accurate use and maintenance
    • Accurate use of task bar & diary systems to ensure workload is managed and any problems reported to Commercial Manager
    • Constant communication on file progress to be given to Executive
    • Continual professional development within all aspects of the industry including continued growth and expansion of product knowledge and technical expertise working towards Chartered Insurance qualifications as directed
    • Other duties as and when required by the company

    Experience:

    • To be successful in this role you must have strong communication skills, be able to

    work under pressure, have excellent attention to detail and be organised. You must have some commercial insurance experience working within the insurance industry as a commercial account handler.

    • Ideally you would have some experience dealing with Hotels and associated risks as have a number of Hotel focused clients but this is not essential as full training and support will be given.
    • It would be desirable if you are CII qualified or working towards the qualification.
