    Job Title: Building Surveyor

    Location: Sheffield

    Full/Part Time: Full Time

    Salary: £45,000 – £55,000


    We are looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join our client’s expanding team in Sheffield.

    You will be a qualified industry professional with expert knowledge on building pathology, construction methods, techniques, materials, and technology.

    You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of projects and reports and cover the entire process, from concept design to completion.

    Responsibilities:

    – Ensure the company’s quality assurance processes on all projects are followed at all times and ensure standard documentation is used when presenting internal and external information

    – Manage and grow existing Building Surveying offering

    – Advise clients on building/property issues including technical, financial, legal, environmental, building regulation and restoration matters

    – Assist colleagues to develop new business opportunities with existing clients and report your findings and suggestions

    – Identify ways in which building surveying products and services can be improved and referring ideas to the appropriate person

    – Meet with clients to discuss project ideas and construction requirements

    – Carry out inspections of existing buildings to check for flaws and defects

    – Carry out feasibility studies

    – Advise on health and safety aspects of construction

    – Advise on contractors and organizing documents for tender

    – Deal with planning applications

    – Monitor progress of work, identify risks and implement timely resolutions

    – Provide high quality management reporting on service delivery and support the planning of operational work

    – Support project team to achieve well planned and managed integrated solutions that progress effective change and improvement in the organisation and support the best environmental outcomes

     


    Essential Criteria

     

    Degree qualified within relevant discipline and able to evidence your commercial, technical due diligence and contractual understanding Good time management with the ability to prioritise workloads Good budgeting, financial and problem-solving skills

     


    Desirable Criteria

    MRICS qualified
