    Commercial Claims Manager

    Salary: up to £40,000

    Location: Cheltenham – Hybrid working arrangements

     


    Role

    The Claims manager is responsible for supporting customers through the end to end claims process. This will envolve dealing directly with insurers and customers both online and face to face.

     


    Some key accountabilities within this role will include:

    • Handle claims on both a delegated and nondelegated basis.
    • Ensure an exceptional claim service is delivered to each and every customer.
    • Provide a high standard of communications between all parties and operate to agreed deadlines and timeframes.
    • Review and if necessary, challenge insurer decisions on liability and quantum.
    • Build relationships with insurers, customers and colleagues.
    • Ensure that the commercial manager is fully aware of all issues or complaints.
    • Ensure that full compliance of our standards is maintained at all times.
    • Customer records and claims files kept up to date and accurate.
    • Claims resolved, paid and closed within reasonable timescales.

     


    Person

    We are looking for a Claims Manager with excellent communication and influencing skills and who is able to build rapport with customers. It is important for us, as a people first business, that the team always act with good conduct, ensuring our customers are given correct and relevant information ensuring their needs are met and allowing them to make an informed decision.

     


    A successful candidate will also have:

    • Experience in providing specialist advice relating to commercial insurance claims.
    • Must be qualified to a minimum of Cert CII.
    • Accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Ability to process work quickly and efficiently.
    • Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to gather and analyse information from the customer.
    • Ability to identify and respond appropriately to both customers and insurers.
