    Job Title –  Senior Commercial Account Handler

    Contract – Permanent

    Salary – £37,000 – £42,000

    Location – Leicestershire

     


    Role

     

    Established broker seeking a Commercial Account Handler. As a Commercial Account Handler you are responsible for providing exceptional service to a prestigious client base, ensuring the cover for their clients is appropriate and tailored to their individual needs and demonstrating your skills and experience of insurance products and services within the Commercial sector. 3 days office based and 2 days working from home.

     


    Duties

     

    • You have the opportunity to build and maintain strong relationships with clients across a wide range of industry sectors.
    • Proactively managing valued client and insurer relationships;
    • Negotiating, placing and reporting to clients at renewal, mid-term and new business stages;
    • Ensuring adequacy and appropriateness of cover;
    • Managing personal workloads and meeting deadlines;
    • Ensuring that renewals are completed accurately and in a timely manner;
    • To be aware of market conditions and the strengths and weaknesses of competitors and Insurers/Underwriters;
    • Providing clients with high quality policy documentation in accordance with FCA regulation;
    • Keeping accurate client records and files at all times, including inputting of all client data into our bespoke system;
    • Responding to client queries, including changes in cover and risk in a professional and timely manner;
    • Building good working relationships with other account handlers/executives, Directors, Group Operations Officer and the wider team;
    • Attending occasional client visits/meetings when necessary;
    • Contributing to the achievement of team and business objectives by identifying gaps and upselling;
    • To be aware of other team members’ workloads and assist them when their workloads are greater than your own;
    • Ensuring that Company procedures, high client service standards and FCA compliance regulations are adhered to and maintained, at all times acting in the best interest of clients.

    • Consistently demonstrates compliance with FCA regulatory requirements and promotes best practice in procedures.
    • Pro-actively identifies opportunities for new business and to add value to client accounts, frequently refers accounts for intelligent extras.
    • Demonstrates high level IT skills. Utilises functionality to consistently deliver on expectations. Identifies and embraces opportunities to further improve IT skills.
    • Highly organised. Plans ahead, manages time well, consistently meets deadlines, is always on time, is cost conscious, thinks of better way to do things.
    • In possession of, or working towards Cert CII
    • Demonstrates a high level of motivation and resilience with a proactive attitude. Consistently takes ownership of work and does what is needed without being asked.
    • Exceeds minimum CPD requirements, proactively identifies and embraces opportunities for development and knowledge sharing. Often demonstrates ability and willingness to learn and share knowledge and identifies opportunities for doing so.
