    Job Title – Senior Sales Director – Commercial

    Contract – Permanent

    Salary – £50,000 – £80,000

    Location – Essex


    Our client a dynamic and rapidly growing insurance brokerage are seeking a Senior Sales Director. The business has a strong commitment to providing comprehensive insurance solutions to their clients, foster a culture of innovation, excellence and teamwork. As they continue to expand their operations, they are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sales Director to manage and grow an existing book of established clients. The Sales Director role will potentially lead to management of a team of Account Executives over time.


    • Service and grow an existing book of commercial insurance business
    • Client relationship management – you will have overall responsibility for your clients including service and broking co-ordination
    • Finding and winning new clients
    • Strategic and directional planning for management of your clients
    • Facilitating and overseeing introductions along with on-going management to other areas of the business
    • Client visits
    • Agreeing appropriate remuneration with client
    • Client entertainment participation and oversight
    • Credit control
    • Ensuring clients are fully aware of policy coverage / conditions / limitations
    • Creating an active pipeline and recording on Acturis
    • Establishment of client demands, needs, cover requirements and programme design
    • Fact Find completion and organisation of additional underwriting information (e.g. claims experience, surveys, questionnaires etc.)
    • Developing the renewal strategy for each of your clients
    • Establishment any changes to client demands, needs, cover requirements and programme design


    • CERT/DIP CII (or working towards) or equivalent
    • Considerable experience in the commercial insurance industry
    • Extensive working knowledge of general commercial lines business and the broking market
    • Demonstrable drive, self-motivation and determination to achieve results
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills combined with a proven track record of relationship management and customer focus
    • Strong influencing, negotiation and leadership skills
    • Team player
    • Customer focussed
    • Consistently demonstrates behaviours conducive to achieving both personal and team objectives, in line with the core values of the company
    • Strong working knowledge of the Acturis system beneficial


    • Strong basic/package to include private medical insurance
    • Hybrid working available
    • Car allowance
