    Role: Private Clients Account Handler

    Location: London- Hybrid Working
    Salary: £35,000 per annum. 

    Industry – Insurance, Broking, Private Clients, High Net Worth


    Purpose of the Role:

     

    Looking after an established book of clients with a variety of needs predominantly Ultra High Net Worth, Fine Art, Heritage Property and Farms & Estates, but also Residential & Commercial Property Owners, Commercial Combined, Agricultural, Private & Commercial Motor, Liabilities, Personal Accident & Travel, Terrorism, Engineering, Cyber, Directors & Officers and Trustee Liability.


    Responsibilities of the Role:

     

    To include the following:

     

    • Negotiate with underwriters and issue client renewals manually, including preparing a Risk Register &/or Summary of Cover where applicable, producing a renewal invitation letter and invoicing.
    • Provide a high level of client service at all times whilst ensuring the customer is always treated fairly.
    • Handle client’s general queries day to day queries, adjustments etc.
    • Attempt to resolve possible complaints, where possible, avoiding the need for escalation.
      Build relations with clients with a view to growing accounts by cross-selling.
    • Identify risk exposures and advise on insurance and risk management solutions, particularly at the time of new business and renewals.
    • Build relations with key underwriters and other third party providers.
    • Prioritise and handle all work promptly and accurately with good diary management.
    • Handle all queries, whether written or by telephone, in a professional manner and process effectively in line with company service standards.
    • Chase clients for payment and proactively manage aged debt.
    • Attend events as and when required, sometimes outside of normal working hours.
    • Offer assistance to colleagues when required.
    • Attend client meetings when necessary, to include agenda preparation and issue of minutes.
    • Provide support to the Directors/Executives in the overall servicing of Client’s policies, both in respect of new business and renewals.
    • Obtain quotations both for new and renewal business.
    • Check policy documentation for accuracy prior to issue to the clients.
    • Maintain required Continued Professional Development.

    Key Skills:

     

    • Competent use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel etc)
    • Knowledge of Acturis (not essential, training provided)
    • Good telephone manner
    • Good desk/workload/diary management
