    Job Title – Commercial Team Leader

    Contract – Permanent

    Salary – £30,000 – £45,000

    Location – Glasgow 


    Overall

     

    • As a Commercial Team Leader of the Corporate Division, you will assist the Divisional Director and Divisional Manager in managing the Division in accordance with Group objectives, procedures, and standards.
    • To form part of the Division’s Management Team, where required by the Divisional Manager.
    • Report to the Divisional Manager on a monthly basis in relation to all key developments and reporting against agreed objectives.

    Management Duties

     

    • Contribute to the growth and development of the Group through active membership of the management team, when required by the Divisional Manager.
    • Manage the Client Adviser team on behalf of the Divisional Manager. 

    Responsibilities

    • To act as Account Adviser on specific nominated accounts and to support other members of the division on accounts as and when appropriate.
    • To develop new business from existing client contacts, new introductions, and own contacts.
    • Shared responsibility for the achievement of the business plan and budget of the Division
    • Ensure that enquiries are dealt with appropriately to experience and expertise with designated broking and placing as suitable within the team.
    • Ensure that you operate within the Company’s systems and procedures with regard to service standards, quality of documentation, credit control, and support of key insurance markets.
    • Ensure accurate preparation of client registers and update as required.
    • Check policy documents for accuracy and breadth of cover
    • Provide assistance to the Claims department with any relevant claims.

    Staff Responsibilities

     

    • Act with integrity and professionalism on all staff issues, taking advice from our internal HR Department as appropriate.
    • To collate and review monthly CEPs & CAPs for the Division on a monthly basis and submit key information to the Divisional Manager (no later than the 5th of each month).
    • To carry out monthly 1-2-1’s for the client advisers with key information provided to the Divisional Manager
    • To carry out at least 12 file audits for each Client Executive/Client Adviser per annum. Results to be communicated to the Divisional Manager by the end of the month and updated in the Revenue Tracker (no later than the 5th of each month).
    • Undertake regular monthly performance reviews with each Direct Report and document key points and action points agreed. Act as coach and mentor to staff.
    • Contribute to monthly Team Meetings, updating the team on progress and key developments plus receiving feedback.
    • Understand and follow the Company’s Training & Competence Scheme.
    • Monitor and ensure that all staff in the Division complete identified training and mandatory training and evidence the required training and CPD hours in Broker Assess.
    • Keep abreast of insurance market developments and incorporate them into staff T&C plans, routine updates, and monthly meetings, as appropriate.
