E-Trade Underwriter

Job Title – Commercial Underwriter – E-trade

Contract – Permanent

Salary – £35,000 – £40,000

Location – York or Colchester

Industry – Insurance (Insurance, Underwriting, Commercial)

We are currently working with a well known specialist insurer who, due to growth, are expanding their e-trade underwriting team. They are looking for an underwriter who will be responsible for underwriting various commercial cases, dealing with broker referrals and maintaining and developing broker relationships.

Responsibilities include:

• You will be a point of contact for our broker partners and deliver exceptional customer service as part of our e-trade team.
• Manage and develop broker relationships 
• Underwrite new business, existing business and referral cases.
• Work closely with the management team to support business plans and strategy

Requirements:

• Underwriting experience is ideal (from an insurer or an MGA)
• Have a good understanding of the commercial insurance market.
• Excellent management skills
• Excellent organisation skills
• Excellent relationship management
• Excellent communication skills
