    Lawes Consulting Group are working exclusively with a top 10 contributor to the Lloyds market. Due to the success of the company they are looking to grow their Property & Casualty team.

    You will be responsible for negotiating the renewal of UK Property and Casualty accounts, undertaking all aspects in the placing and maintenance of risks. They believe in a flat organisational structure that prizes expertise and relationships equally.     Responsibilities

    • Ensure a professional and efficient level of service is maintained to support the team
    • Request relevant additional information required by underwriters from agents to enable them to consider requests further 
    • Advise brokers of acceptance/refusal of cover and provide written confirmation of terms 
    • Ensure responses are promptly requested and received from underwriters and that agent is informed accordingly 
    • Preparation of presentations to Insurers/use of online portals for new and renewal client
    • Negotiate the renewal of Commercial accounts ensuring that the agreed renewal retention rate is exceeded 
    • Promptly convey instructions and premiums to underwriters 
    • Update MI/Statistics using the in-house computer system as necessary 
    • Investigate and resolve accounts queries as requested  
    • Any other duties as directed in connection with the smooth running of the team 

     

    Knowledge & Skills:

     

    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail 
    • Able to work both independently and as part of a team 
    • Ability to confidently converse with colleagues, sub-agents and underwriters, written and verbally  
    • Good admin and computer skills
