Assistant Scheme Underwriter

Job Title – Assistant Scheme Underwriter
Contract – Permanent
Salary – GBP23,000 – GBP28,000
Location – Surrey 
 

Key tasks:

Deputise for the Underwriter by assisting staff and providing technical support and guidance.
Assist the Underwriter with ad hoc project work to assist in the development of new schemes.
Act as a technical referral point for more junior staff and provide coaching and guidance where necessary.
Assist in the underwriting of scheme business in accordance with the relevant binding authorities
Check new business quotations to ensure they are underwritten within the terms of the relevant binding authorities
Manage own workload (taking responsibility for the more technically complex cases) and assess customers needs and then provide suitable advice whilst treating all customers fairly at all times
Ensure all administration and paperwork is undertaken in accordance with the firms procedures
Ensure you conduct yourself in accordance with the Rules, codes of Conduct and Guidelines as issued by the firm and FCA
