    Job Title – Business Analyst – Finance Systems (Insurance)

    Contract – Permanent

    Salary – £42,000

    Location – Exeter, Devon -Home Based Split, UK

     


    Opportunity for a Business Analyst – Finance Systems to join our clients Finance team, working full time, 35 hours per week Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm. Open to flexible working as part of the recruitment process, and this may include designated homeworking or a blended working arrangement.

     

    For this role you will need to have financial data and SQL experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects.  

     


    Role Responsibilities 

    Project Portfolio

    • Plans, monitors, and manages internal projects from initiation through completion
    • Manage risk and uncertainty through decision making
    • Leads project planning, progress reporting, and troubleshooting
    • Ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost
    • Monitor’s performance and recommends schedule changes
    • Liaises with both the finance department and wider stakeholders to get input / reviews and feedback
    • Considers the wider implications of system changes based on an understanding of data flows and the wider system architecture

     


    Individual projects

    • Work closely with Project Sponsor, agree frequency and content of updates to project sponsor and work stream heads
    • Creating, updating and circulation of all relevant documentation.
    • Meticulous documentation of task/process ownership
    • Ensure accurate and reliable accounting and reporting
    • With the help of the project sponsor, verify plan outcomes fully understood
    • Assist the project sponsor with creating a collaborative approach to delivering the plan
    • Create and oversee test plans
    • Reconcile transactions through cross referencing of incoming and outgoing data
    • Through an understanding of the flow of financial data and system process flows maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
    • Recommend actions by analysing and interpreting data and making comparative analysis.
    • Ensuring all tasks and procedures are carried out effectively and efficiently to agreed levels of services or specific requirements
    • Support training of the finance department to ensure changes are fully embedded
