Job Title – Commercial Underwriter – Existing Business (various levels available) 

Contract – Permanent

Salary – £35,000 – £45,000

Location – Manchester – Flexible working is available

A highly regarded name in the market is seeking underwriters to join their existing business team due to company wide growth plans. You will be responsible for underwriting various specialist commercial lines, acting as a referral point within the team and dealing with the larger, more complex accounts.

This is an exciting role for someone with a commercial underwriting background who is looking to join a well regarded insurance company who are in major growth mode.

Responsibilities include:

• Underwriting various existing business cases in line with the wider business strategy
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and third parties
• Manage your own personal caseload 
• Act as a referral point within the team for the larger, more complex risks
• Provide mentoring and coaching to other members of the team

Requirements:

• Commercial underwriting experience is essential
• Have a good understanding of the commercial insurance market
• Excellent management skills
• Excellent organisation skills
• Excellent relationship management
• Excellent communication skills
