Job Title – Senior Technical Underwriter 

Contract – Permanent

Salary – £50,000

Location – Various UK Locations – Hybrid working is available

A highly regarded name in the market is seeking a Senior Technical Underwriter to join their specialist technical underwriting team. The role is responsible for underwriting large, complex cases and supporting the underwriting teams UK wide on both new and existing business.

Responsibilities include:

• Act as one of the most senior referral points within the commercial underwriting set up
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and third parties
• Work with senior management on underwriting reports and monitoring 
• Work closely with other areas of the business on large, complex accounts
• Mentor and and coach underwriters
• Offer technical knowledge to other areas of the business

Requirements:

• Strong commercial underwriting experience is essential
• Technical underwriting knowledge
• Experience dealing with large, complex risks
• Excellent management skills
• Excellent organisation skills
• Excellent relationship management
• Excellent communication skills
